PBCOM announces Patricia May T. Siy as new President and CEO
The Board of Directors of the Philippine Bank of Communications (PBCOM) announced that Patricia May T. Siy has been elected Member of the Board and appointed President and CEO of the Bank, both effective June 1, 2015.
Siy succeeds Mr. Henry Y. Uy both as Board Member and as President and CEO of PBCOM. Mr. Uy has served as the Bank’s Acting President and CEO since March 2015. Mr. Uy will continue to serve the Bank as Board Adviser.
Siy has 28 years of banking experience, including 11 years with Security Bank, 6 years with Standard Chartered, and 11 years with Private Development Corp of the Philippines. During the span of her banking career, Siy has grown commercial and consumer lending; expanded and managed branches; developed Alternate Banking channels, such as ATMs, phone and mobile banking, online banking, and debit cards; and managed marketing and customer contact units among others.
She rounds off her banking experience with exposure to other industries where most recently, she was the Chief Corporate Planning Officer for Travelers International and Chief Financial Officer for Rustans Supercenters.
