PBCom's board of directors has appointed former ABN-AMRO chief executive
Carmelo Maria L. Bautista as the new president and chief executive officer,
during the Annual Stockholders' Meeting held on June 21, 2005.
Mr. Bautista was formerly the President of ABN AMRO Bank, (Philippines)
Inc., a wholly-owned commercial bank and subsidiary of ABN AMRO, and Country
Manager of the Philippine Offshore Branch of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. He carries
an extensive banking experience marked by his distinguished eighteen-year
career in the Philippine Branch and in the Singapore Regional Office of
Citibank N.A. He had also previously served as a Member and Treasurer of
the Board of Directors of the European Chamber of Commerce of the
Philippines and as Vice Chairman of the Overseas Bankers Association of the
Philippines.
He obtained a Master's Degree in Business Management from the Asian Institute
of Management and a Bachelor of Arts Degree Majoring in Economics from the
Ateneo de Manila.
