CBA NEGOTIATION CONCLUDED IN RECORD TIME

On 19 January 2006, the PBCom Management and Employees Union concluded the renewal of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) covering years 2006-2007 after only six meetings within a one-month period. The 2-year package valued at about P59.1 million was agreed upon in the spirit of goodwill and cooperation between the Management and Union panels. The precedent-setting CBA negotiation, which was achieved without legal counsel during the meetings among other cost savings measures, clearly shows that the bank’s management, officers and staff can work harmoniously and with resolve in building a bigger and better PBCom.

Congratulations to the Management panel composed of John Estioko, Chairman, Robert Tan, Gil Gonzales, Evelyn Vinluan and Romeo Dela Rosa as members and to the PBCom Employees’ Association panel composed of Rolando Borbon, President, Norman Cortes, Aries George Garcia, Rolando Manansala, Ma. Monina Marasigan, Elizabeth Latonero, Josephine Yumul and Roberto Hizon as Union officers-members for the meaningful and expeditious conclusion of the negotiations.
