The Board of Directors and Management, i. e. officers and staff, of Philippine Bank of Communications hereby commit themselves to the principles and best practices contained in this Manual, and acknowledge that the same shall guide the attainment of our corporate goals.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), in aligning its existing regulations with international best practices that promote good corporate governance, has issued guidelines and circulars to strengthen corporate governance in its supervised financial institutions, parts of which were adopted in this manual. The Monetary Board, in its Resolution Nos. 111 and 277 dated 20 January 2012 and 16 February 2012, approved the guidelines and the amendment of Sections 141 and 174 of the Manual of Regulations, superseding/amending/modifying provisions of existing circulars, memoranda and/or other regulations inconsistent with Circular Nos. 749 and 757 series of 2012.

The Bank being a covered institution regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under the Securities Regulation Code shall likewise conform with SEC regulatory issuances.
